Police beats 7 month pregnant people power supporter to pulp

Yesterday, Activist Nana Annet drove to Police Head quaters, Nagulu, to protest the continued detention of Hon Kyagulanyi at home. She was immediately grabbed by women police officers, taken inside and savagely brutalized!

She was dumped unconscious at Iran-Uganda Hospital. She’s 7 months pregnant.

After she was resuscitated, we helped transfer her to Kampala Independent Hospital, where she’s gradually being stabilised.

For Police women to brutalize an expectant mum this way is horrifying indicator of the state of our Police force.
